Good morning! ;) I have two new sets to share with you today in my Etsy shop. See link above. They're elegant beads done up in creamy shades of light ivory and straw gold. I'm so pleased with the way they turned out. Thanks for taking a peek! ;)
Jordan saw the doctor yesterday and is healing nicely. It's a little swollen and bruised though, so he'll need to go back again on Sunday, just to make sure it doesn't develop an infection. Thank you all so much for the well wishes. You're very sweet!
I'm off to make beads. I have an order to work on and I'd like to make something new too.
Enjoy your day!

Hello ;) Happy Monday! We had a great time at the concert in the park Saturday night. I wish I would of brought my camera, so I could of taken a picture to show you all the people that were there.  There must of been several thousand. It was very crowed and parking was awful, but totally worth it. The band was fantastic and we had fun rockin' to Queen music. It was so cute... Madison and Jordan knew a lot of their songs from the movies they've seen. We'd ask them, "What movie is this from?" And sure enough, they were right every time. We're a big music family and listen to oldies all the time, although, I don't like to call them oldies. It's funny how I said when I was in my teens... "I'm never going to listen to oldies, like my parents do." But now that I'm in my early 40's, I listen to them all the time. Just because we listen to music from when we grew up, doesn't make us an oldie, does it? Gosh, I hope not!
Never made it to the swap-meet Sunday. We were up late watching the gold medal basketball game, so we ended up sleeping in. I wasn't sure if USA would win, because the points were so close all the way to the end. Boy, it was a real nail bitter, wasn't it? What a great game!
We had a traumatic incident last night... We were at the park when Jordan riding his bike, tried to ride past a family walking their dog. Well, the dog jumped up and bit Jordan under his right armpit. I ran over to see if he was all right, because I wasn't sure. I saw the dog jump and bark, but wasn't sure if it bit him or not. He was crying when I got there and said, "I'm okay! I'm okay!" But when I looked under his shirt he had two big teeth marks and was bleeding. Now this wasn't no little dog either, it was a 3 foot tall 2 year old Great Dane. It was the first time the owner had brought him to the park. His sister was walking him on a leash, but when he saw Jordan on his bike, he went after him knocking her to the ground. She did pull the dog back, but by that time he'd already bitten Jordan. The owner was visibly shaken and very apologetic. So much so, that they went to the urgent care with us and paid for the bill. Jordan had the wounds cleaned, bandaged with butterfly tape and covered in gauze. They don't close up animal bites with stitches, because it could get infected. And if it does, they want the infection to be able to come out and not be trapped in. That makes sense. He's on antibiotics for 10 days and has a follow up on Wednesday. He's at school today. I checked on him in his classroom when I dropped Madison off this morning and he's doing fine. He did say it hurts a little bit though. He's not allowed to play during recess or lunch. He's benched and not happy about it. But I'm sure he'll get lots of attention with everyone asking, what happened? So I know he's going to love showing them his We had to fill out an animal bite report with the state at the doctor's office. I'm not sure what will happened from there. I did hear from a friend that the dog may have to be quarantined for a couple of days, but I don't know. All I asked of them was to pay for the bill, which they did. I don't blame them one bit for what happened. Accidents do happen.... and life is full of them.
Well, I'm off to watch a movie till it's time to pick up the kids. It's just too hot to torch right now. I'll get out there tonight, when it's cooler.
Have a great day! ;)

(August 23rd, 2008)
Hello everyone! I hope you're having a great day. I have a lot of new beads to share with you today. First, a new auction on Ebay 'Pumpkin Spice', it's an adorable collection of pumpkins and blossoms that'd be beautiful to wear during the upcoming holidays. I also have couple new sets here and in my Etsy shop- see new link above. And lastly, I'm taking orders for Halloween Chocolates. They turned out so cute. Thanks for peeking! I hope you find something you like. ;)
I went to back to school night, Thursday, and found out something very interesting. Remember when I told you that in 5th grade they're using Palm Pilots? Well, his teacher told us parents that technology is the wave of the future and handwriting will soon be a thing of the past, so all of their writing assignments will be done using their handheld. And get this, the whole class is connected to each other, so they can IM a friend during class, although it's not allowed. Oh, and something really funny. If they are talking in class she can send them a message to stop and it'll pop up on the offenders screen at their desk. Ha! Another neat thing is that the students beam their work to the teacher's computer, she corrects it, and then beams it back. How cool is that? Makes me what to go back to
Weekend plans... We're going to the park tonight to listen to a concert. It's the last one in the summer series and it's a tribute to Queen, so it should be really good. We've gone to 2 of them already. They were U2 and Beetles tributes. It is so much fun and there's always tons of people. I have a feeling tonight will be very crowded since it the last one, so we're going to pack a nice picnic dinner and go early to get a good seat. Tomorrow we're going to the swap-meet, which we haven't done in a while. It's going to be a fun and busy weekend. Hope yours is fun, too. ;)

Good morning! ;) Are you on Olympic overload like me? Goodness, I've been up every night past 1:00am We do have a DVR and I am taping all of the events. Sure I could wait till the morning, but it's too exciting to wait another day. Did you watch the swimming events? Oh, my! Wasn't Phelps fantastic? And that fingernail finish. Wow! The Gymnastic events were terrific as well, but I feel Nastia got robbed of the gold medal on parallel bars. What was wrong with both of them receiving gold? So not fair! And that Shawn. A spectacular gold medal performance on beam. Woo Hoo! What a big smile she has, it's just too cute!
I have a couple new things on my website today too. An adorable pink set that includes a piggy. A sugary sweet set in red and Halloween Chocolates in black and orange. Yummy! Oh, I'm not sending out the mailing list on what I posted today. I've already done two, two days in a row this week and I don't want to be a bother. If I have something new again tomorrow, maybe I'll do one then. Hope you find something you like. ;)
Have a lovely day!

Hi! OMG!!! That was so not funny, although, I'm sure the jerk who wrote the Windows XP Antivirus 2009, thinks it is. It's a fake antivirus program, that is a virus! I did something really, really stupid. My mother-in-law asked me what type of mop we use for our hardwood floors, so I go and Google it and end up on a scam website. Now my computer warned me by saying, "This website could be a scam. Do you still want to proceed?" And what do I do? Click yes. Dumb! But I was only looking for a mop for heaven sakes. I didn't even think twice when I clicked in. Well, that sucker attached itself to my Windows operating system on my PC and wiped it out. I had no icons or start-up menu, just a blank desktop. Scary! So, I took my hard drive to Best Buy and the technician told me what to do. Delete everything, reinstall Widows XP and start from scratch, so that's what I did. But not before I went into my wireless PC network with my laptop and copied everything out onto discs. I took a risk, which turned out to be fatal for my laptop as well. Yep! That's right... that mother of a virus got into laptop. It was either that or lose two years worth of cherished family pictures, bead pictures and my company files. My laptop is still under warranty, so I knew if it got me there too, I could just take it in. So that's where it is, at Best Buy being repaired. Oh, man what a week! So now that I'm back up and running again with a new Outlook Express program, I've lost all of my saved emails, phone numbers and passwords. Everything I had saved in my old Outlook is gone, gone, gone. So, if you've emailed me within this past week and I haven't responded to you by now, I don't have it. Could you please kindly write me again. Thank you!
My kiddies are back in school and guess what? Jordan was given a report that's due in two weeks his first day. Boy, they sure don't waste any time, do they? It's an Olympic report, which he had to choose a country. He chose Turkey. Write about his country, draw their flag and make a list of the events they're in. He also has to watch them perform, give their medal count and do a performance graph in Excel. It always surprises me what kids have to do these days. Last year, he had to do a Power Point presentation on his Mission report. When I was in fourth grade, I remember doing a Mission, but we had to make a model of one. I built mine with sugar cubes and it was so much fun! Now why would they ask a 9 year old to do it in Power Point? I didn't even know how to do it and had to learn it before I could show him. Now what was wrong with building a model? Oh, and get this. This year they need a Palm Pilot. Yep! We're going to find out all about it, Thursday, at Back to School night. Shesh!
Madison loves kindergarten and is having so much fun walking to and from school, but she hates waiting around in the morning for us to leave. I put her in the PM class because she's really not a morning person. The AM class starts at 7:50, so instead I thought it'd be nice for us to spend our mornings together by putting her in PM, which starts at 11:15. Well, she bugs and bugs all morning starting at 9:30 by saying, "Come on mom. Lets go!" So, I'm not sure if it was a good idea after all. Oh, well. I'm sure she'll get used to it.
With all the chaos of my computer woes this past week, I wasn't able to work on new beads until yesterday. I have two new specials for you today and they'll be up as soon as I get back from taking Madison to school. Oh, and I'm keeping the freebie Day of the Dead up until tomorrow. Thank you for understanding! ;)
Have a great day!

(August 8th, 2008)
Woo Hoo! Happy Friday! I'm so excited about the Olympics and I can't wait to watch them. I have a couple favorite events; gymnastics, swimming and track. Those are the ones I can't miss. I can only thank my lucky stars that we now have a DVR, so I won't miss anything. Yay!  I used to do gymnastics when I was in elementary school and I was on the swim team in high school. I'd like to get Madison into swimming competively, but we have to wait till she turns 7. She very competitive already at the age of 5. She always wants to race us in our pool. The only problem is she gets upset when Jordan wins, even if it's only by a couple seconds. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing because I don't want her to be a poor sport. But she really has the drive to win. Who knows, I may have a little Olympian on my hands.
Well, it's that time again... My kids go back to school next Wednesday. I just need to pick up a couple more things this weekend, and then they should be all set. Is it bad of me to say, I'm looking forward to it? 'Cause I could really use a couple hours of piece and quiet. It's been a crazy house this past week with having friends over everyday. And then there's the complaining about who took what from whom, and so and so didn't let me play, messy rooms, and running in and out of the house. Goodness, that's enough to make anyone crazy! So getting back into a regular routine, would do us all some good.
I got caught up in working on orders this week, so I don't have anything new to offer you today. Sorry about that. I plan on having  a lot for sale next week.
Have a great weekend! ;)

(August 6th, 2008)
Hi! ;) How's your week going? It's been really hot here with temps reaching nearly 100 degrees. Whew! We've been spending a lot of time in the pool, which is very nice. Yesterday I took Madison to a preschool friends birthday party at Sky City Bounce House. It's an indoor inflatable bouncy place that has huge slides and obstacle courses to climb on and through. When we got there her friends were screaming, Madison! Madison! I guess they'd been missing her as much as she'd been missing them. She had so much fun that when we left she said, '"This is the bestest birthday party I've ever been to!" Ha! She's just too cute.
I went through my bead bowl this morning and found some extras that are looking for a home. No email on these because there's so few. Hope you find something you like. ;)
Have a lovely day!

(August 4th, 2008)
Hello ;) Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Jordan had a lot of fun at the beach Saturday and came home unscathed. Yay! I was worrying all day for nothing, but that's what us mothers do, isn't it? Madison had an accident on her bike. She let go of one hand to give a 'Rock On!' wave, lost control and went tumbling off into the grass. She's fine, though, just got a little bruise on her arm. I explained to her she just learned to ride her bike, so she shouldn't do any stunts until she's more comfortable.  She sees Jordan letting go of his handle bars all the time, so I'm sure she was trying to be just like her big brother.
I finished reading a really good book over the weekend, it's called The Last Lecture . I received it as a gift from a very dear friend after my grandmother passed away suddenly this past May. I found it to be very inspirational and was saddened to read Randy Pausch recently lost his battle to pancreatic cancer just over a week ago. The book is not about dying or what you did during your life, it's about what you didn't do. And how important it is to live out your childhood dreams and help others achieve them, too. It's so true... You never know how much time you have, so seize every moment because one day you may find you have less time than you think. It's a definite must read. You can also see his lecture on You Tube. Along with lots of laughs, be prepared to shed some tears.
Did a little bead making over the weekend and I have a couple new things to share with you today. First Dia De Los Muertos- 'Day of the Dead' skulls. I've been wanting to make these for a very long time and finally got around to it. I think they turned out pretty neat. And I hope you like them, too. I also have made to order bones sold per bead. Wouldn't they be fun added to your Halloween beads? Or maybe you're a dog lover. They'd be so cute as earrings. Then I have a sweet set in cobalt blue that'd be lovely worn with blue jeans. And lastly, a dainty set of eight daisies listed on Ebay. Thank you so much for taking the time to see what I have to offer today. ;)
Have a bead-utiful day!

(August 1st, 2008)
Is it really August? Boy. Time flies, doesn't it? Just 12 more days before my kiddies head back to school. I can't believe it. It feels like they just got out. We had a great week. Went bike riding twice along the Santa Clara River. I'm sure back in the day when it wasn't so dry in CA, it was a river, but now it's all dried up. Even still it's a beautiful ride and we really enjoy going. The bike/pedestrian trial extends for miles. Not sure how far though. We haven't made it to the end because Madison can't ride her bike that far yet. She tuckers out too easily. Oh, I have some news. She learned to ride her bike Tuesday. Yay! We're so proud of her. ;) Every time she sees her bike she has this big grin on her face and says, "I'm so happy! I can ride my bike without training wheels. Woo Hoo!" She's just too cute.
Jordan is going to a beach birthday party tomorrow. I'm a little nervous about me not being there though because he tends to go a little too far out for my own comfort. When we go as a family, I'm always on the lookout for sharks and calling him back in whenever I feel he's venturing too far. I spoke with the boy's father today and asked him not to let Jordan go out too far because of my fear. And he said, "Oh, OK. I didn't even think about that." How can you not?  I know. I'm silly. But after all, it is shark week on the Discovery Channel. Maybe I shouldn't be watching it. Ha! He's taking his skim board and a couple of the other boys are too. So hopefully, they'll spend the day playing on the shore and I won't have anything to worry about.
I finished the last of the orders yesterday, but ran out of steam when it came to making anything new for Etsy, so I'll get to work on those first thing next week.
Have a wonderful weekend! ;)
