Happy Saturday! We have a new TGIF! Winner... Congratulations to Lisa L. from GA! Go take a peek at what she's won. Thank you all so much for playing with me.
Did everyone have a wonderful Thanksgiving? We sure did! It was very relaxing. The turkey was yummy, and boy, did we stuff ourselves. I'm totally feeling it around the waist...LOL We did a little school clothes shopping today. Taking advantage of the sales. Madison and Jordan needed pants because up until a week ago they were still wearing shorts, and of course, the pants from last year don't fit. You know. I have the hardest time shopping with Jordan. He is so picky. Madison on the other hand, loves everything, so she's the easy one. It's funny how my boy is pickier than my girl.
I still have a few more orders to get done, and I hope to have new beads mid-week.
Enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend!

Hello! Are you ready for a turkey-riffic Thanksgiving? I sure am! We spent the morning cleaning, dusting, ironing the table linens and dressing the table. I still have a lot of food prep to-do today because I know for a fact I won't be in the mood to cut onions and celery when I wake up in the morning, so I have to get that done today. Oh, and there's cheesecake pumpkin bars, fudge and chocolate chip cookies to be made today, too, as well. Yummy! By the time this Thanksgiving is through, I'm sure to of gained 5 pounds. But who's counting?...LOL
It's finally raining, and boy, did we need it! It is so dry here in So. CA. and we are very thankful when we get it. The only downfall to that is... we'll have 6 kids under the age of 12 here tomorrow, who love to play outside riding their bikes and skateboards, so I have a feeling they're going to go stir-crazy being stuck in the house all day. I say this because Jordan and Madison are already moping around today wishing they could go outside. So, I have an idea for tomorrow. I'm going to break out my favorite game, Pictionary, and have us all play. That sounds like so much fun! :o)
I wanted to take a moment to tell you what I'm thankful for....
My husband, Dwayne, who loves and supports me no matter how crazy he thinks I am.
My children Eric, Jordan and Madison, who are happy and healthy.
My work, which allows me the incredible opportunity to be home to raise my family.
You! My customers. Because without you, none of this would be possible.
And for that I THANK YOU! from the bottom of my heart.
Have a VERY Happy Thanksgiving!

Woo Hoo! Happy Friday everyone!! I have a lot of new beads to share with you today, and I'm taking orders on them, too, as well. But I'm only taking enough to keep me busy Mon, Tue and Wed of next week then I'll be taking them down. Oh, and I've beefed them up a bit 'Krissy Beads on steroids' so to speak...lol They're now 7mm for the spacers and 9-10mm for the detailed rounds from hole to hole instead of 5mm and 8mm. I've had requests that I make them bigger so you don't have to use as many filler beads. I hope you like the new size and find something you love. Thank you all so much for ordering!
Thursday we got a call from my brother, Kenny, who's in the Navy. He received his orders and found out he'll be stationed in San Diego, CA. and has been assigned to the USS Boxer. Yahoo! We're so happy! We weren't certain if he'd get San Diego, it depended on if they had the need there after his graduation from A School in Great Lakes, IL. He's supposed to graduate the first or second week of December then he'll go home to Washington State for 15 days, and then report to San Diego. San Diego is 2 hours or so from here, so he can take the train up or we can drive down there to visit him when he's on leave. At this point, he's not sure if he'll be able to visit with us before he has to report or after. He does know his ship is scheduled to go to Iraq for 6 months, but he doesn't know the date yet. I sure hope we can see him before he leaves to Iraq though. He's going to try and see if he can work in the recruiting office when he's home on leave that way it'll give him 5 more days off, and hopefully, be able to see us. Here he is in his boot camp graduation photo this past September. We're so proud! :o)
Thanksgiving plans? We're having it here and we've invited our friends. There will be 13 of us all together. It's our first Thanksgiving without my grandma and I know it's going to be a hard one. There isn't a day that I don't think about her, and I still cry when I do. I/we miss her so very much and still can't believe she's gone. My hubby, Dwayne, says she is still here though. He likes to watch TV late at night and swears he can hear her walking around the house with her walker. I haven't heard anything though. Dwayne is much more open to things like that than I am. I'm kind of a scaredy cat when it comes to ghosts, so it doesn't bother me one bit that Dwayne is the only one who hears her...lol
Plans for the weekend... The weather here has been absolutely wonderful. It's still in the 80's, although, it's supposed to rain this weekend. All I can is... I'll believe it, when I see it. Dwayne cleaned the pool and spa yesterday and it looks so inviting. I'm thinking about heating the spa and taking a dip. We haven't done that is sooo long, and it's about time. Now where is that bottle of wine, anyway? :o)
Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Monday! Are Mondays ever really happy?...LOL We had a fantastic weekend. And I hope you did, too. What did we do? We had a yard sale! Oh, man! We have so much junk in our garage. Too much junk actually. We sold quite a few things, but not as much as we had hoped. We had several antique dressers out for sale, but those didn't go. Wish they would of though because that'd of been a nice penny. Most people wanted small items they can sale on EBay. I hear there's a lot of people doing that these-days and making a nice living at it too. Don't know if we'll have a yard sale again anytime soon, but it is sure was nice to get rid of some things. And now we can actually get around in our garage without walking down a path. So nice!
The So. California fires never seem to stop, do they? There's one burning now that I can see out my kitchen window- the Newhall Pass fire. It started from the Sylmar fire and has made it's way over to our side of the valley. But they say it should burn itself out once it reaches the boundary of the fire-line that burned last year. I drove down to Holly's
house yesterday to pick up some glass that she had bought for me and drove right past the Oakridge
Mobile Home Park. The devastation is truly unbelievable, surreal even, and I couldn't believe my own eyes. It's one thing to see it on TV, but in person, it was so moving that it brought me to tears. All those people who lost their homes in the Sylmar fire and all the other fires over the weekend, my heart truly goes out to them.
I have new beads to share with you today. Christmas reds and greens just like I promised. Hope you find something you love. Thank you all so much looking!
Today I'm working on orders, and I plan to have more specials again on Friday.
Have a wonderful week! :o)

Good morning :o) Happy Friday! I went to Jordan's school this morning for his IEP - individualized evaluation plan - meeting and found out he's still doing everything within his power to avoid completing his assignments. It's not only classwork. It's his homework, too. He's constantly forgetting to bring his books home that are assigned as homework. What's most upsetting is we know he's fully capable. He really is his own worst enemy. So from now on we're going to pick him up at this classroom and check with his teacher everyday to make sure he has everything he needs to complete his homework. Jordan really is the sweetest boy. He's quiet and very polite, so it's not a behavior issue. When his teacher walks over to ask if he's on task, he starts tearing up. Poor thing! He does get extra help 4 days a week in RSP, but it makes me wonder if he's getting too much help by him relying on everyone else, in an enabling way. You know what I mean? What to-do with that boy?
Madison and I are having a wonderful time at Girl Scouts. We're working on their 'considerate and caring' patch by donating non-perishable items to our local food pantry for needy families for their Thanksgiving dinner. They colored Thanksgiving images and covered our donation boxes with them. Then we had the girls place the items in the boxes so they'd feel like they were the ones giving while we explained what it meant to care for others in times of need. They really got it and that was so neat to see. In December we're going to the Gentle Barn
, it's an abused and neglected animal rescue here in town. It also goes along with the patch we're working on 'considerate and caring'. We're donating three trees to them to plant on their property, so the animals can have more shade. The girls are really looking forward to our first trip. And so are we... me and Shawn- the leaders.
Today I'm packing up all the specials from Wednesday and getting them out in the mail. I'm hoping to have sometime to torch today, too, as well because I'd really like to have beads for you on Monday. Yesterday I started working on traditional Christmas reds & greens; stockings, snowmen, gingerbread, presents, and yes, Santa will make an appearance, too. :o)
Oh, and don't forget to put your name in today for the TGIF!
giveaway. See you tomorrow with the lucky winner. Good luck everyone!
Have a fantastic Friday!

Woo Hoo... TGIF! everyone!! I had a great time volunteering at Madison's school today. The teachers are in the process of doing the report cards so I helped with the agility testing. The kids had to hop with both feet, hop on one foot right and then the left, skip, gallop and swing. I was surprised to see the number of kids who didn't know how to gallop or swing. Some didn't even know what gallop was until I showed them. Then they were all... Oh, like a horse!...lol I also helped at a station, it's where they do assignments on a one-on-one basis while the teacher is teaching the rest of class. I can't believe how quickly she moves from one lesson to the next. She sets the timer for 10 minutes and when it rings they're on to the next. I made a comment about how fast class moves along and she said, there's a lot to learn in such a short time. And she's not kidding!
Well, I'm officially shorter than Jordan. I'm a little thing at 5' 2 1/2" and he's now 5' 4", and boy, is he happy. He's been checking every week, nose to nose with me and today we finally got the measuring tape out, and sure enough, he's taller than me. Madison isn't that far behind at 4' 3" and she's only 5 years old. She's a head taller than all of the kids in her kindergarten except one, but he's 6. On the first day of school her teacher thought she was in the wrong class and said, "Second grade is over there!" Ha! It was too funny.
I have a couple new specials to share with you today. I also put two sets on sale. My hubby, Dwayne, is still not working and we're going through a difficult time financially, so I'm really hoping those will go. Thank you so much for your support!
Don't forget to put your name in for the TGIF! giveaway. See you tomorrow. :o)

Happy November! Boy, this year keeps flying by, doesn't it? We had so much fun trick or treating with our friends last night and didn't get home till 11:30. We walked and knocked til the kids were ready to drop. When we got back to the house Jordan counted his candy and he got 275 pieces. Wow! What a haul! Madison hasn't counted hers yet, but I'm sure it's about the same. I'm putting it up and giving it out in rations. Because you know how kids are, they'll eat most of it, if not all, in a matter of days...LOL
We have a new TGIF! winner. Congratulations to Janice B. from PA.! Go take a peek at what's she's won. Thank you all so much for playing my favorite game! :o)
Have a fantastic weekend!
