Happy New Year's Eve everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday. Ours was very nice. My mom was here for 4 days and we really enjoyed visiting with her. We went to the movies on Christmas day and saw Bedtime Stories. It was very cute. A definite must see. We'd never been to the movies on Christmas day before, and I was very surprised to see how long line was when we walked up to purchase tickets. Who knew going to the movies on Christmas was such a popular thing to do. I sure didn't, and boy, was it fun!

Dwayne took the kids to the park this morning to play a round or two of Frisbee Golf with 15 of our friends. They traditionally play on New Year's Day, but one of our best friends has to work tomorrow. Tonight we're going to our friends house, Mary and Kenny, for a New Year's poker party. They have 4 boys and it's always such a blast for Jordan and Madison when we go over there. Plus, tonight there'll be even more friends who are bringing their kids. Boy, it's going to be party central....LOL

I went out and worked for a couple hours this morning and have the new 'free beads' cooling in the kiln. I promise to get them up before we leave.

Wishing you a happy, healthy and prosperous new year! See you in 2009. :o)

Hello! Just popping in to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! Because I didn't make anything new this week, I'm extending the free beads drawing till next Wednesday. I'm so sorry about that, and I should of planned it better. But I never did make it into my studio this week with everything we had to do. Thank you so much for understanding. And have a very Happy Holiday! :o)

Happy Saturday! We have a new TGIF! winner. Congratulations Julie V. from CA! Go take a peek at what she's won. Thank you so much for playing with me!

Dwayne is in Los Angeles taking the Civil Service exam. He wants to work for the City of LA as a heavy duty truck operator. He's been on the waiting list for 3 months now and finally got the opportunity to take the exam today. When he left the morning he was very nervous. He's been studying for it for weeks and feels very confident that he'll pass, so I don't know what he's worried about. But you know how it is... you get yourself all worked up for nothing, and that's just what I did Wednesday night at Girls Scouts. The ceremony went off without a hitch and I didn't even choke up once...LOL The smiles on the girls' faces was priceless. They were so proud of themselves, and so are we. :o)

Weekend plans.... Christmas shopping, of course! I just started yesterday, so I have a lot of catching up to do. I know. I'm a bad girl!!!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hello! How's everyone doing? I just got back from doing some grocery shopping. I had to go and get back before the next rain storm arrived. And I did just in the nick-of-time because, it just started raining a few minutes ago. I hate shopping in the rain, it's a real bummer having to bring in wet bags of groceries. No. No fun at all! Well, I made it. Yay! Now there's plenty of food in the house to last us at least a week or two, I hope. But you never know with all the hungry people I have to feed....LOL

I've been working really hard on the Pandora beads I've been talking about, and I have seven beads to offer you today. Boy, what a learning curve it is to core those babies. I broke several while taking 'Silver Coring 101'. But now I happy to report, I've graduated!...LOL I do plan on having more Friday. Hope you don't mind me making those for awhile because, I'm kind of addicted right now. Plus, they're super-cute! Thanks for taking a peek. :o)

Tonight at Girl Scouts is our investiture ceremony, it's when the girls receive their GS pin and their center daisy for memorizing the GS promise. I'm a little nervous about speaking in front of their families, but I'm sure I'll do okay. Just hope my nerves don't get the best of me. Wish me luck!

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hello! I have some fantastic news.... Dwayne got a job and he started yesterday. Yahoo! He's working for a trucking company, who has a federal contract with the U.S. Postal Service and drives up to Sacramento every day, which is a 3 hour drive one way, transporting the mail in a tractor-trailer. How cool is that? After being out of work for almost 3 months, he finally landed work with a great company. Woo Hoo! We're so happy!!!

So, yesterday was the first time I've been home alone in so long. And let me tell ya, it was so nice and quiet with no one around to bug me...LOL I didn't have time to make beads though. I spent the day cleaning house, doing laundry and managed to put a bracelet together. It's been several years since I've offered a bracelet for sale. I always make them for myself so I thought it was about time I made one for you. I listed it on Etsy late yesterday afternoon, but didn't have a chance to tell you about it because it got too late after helping the kiddies with their homework and making dinner. So, here it is. Hope you like it. :o)

I made several more Pandora beads, and I now have the SS tubing to core them, which Dwayne is going to help me with. Do you want a sneak peek? Of course you do! :o) Well, here they are. I can so pictures them in a variety of colors, can't you?

Madison and I have Girls Scouts this afternoon. Being a leader isn't really that much work after-all, and we're having so much fun every week. But maybe I should wait to say that when cookie sales are over because I know it's going to be a TON of work.  Our first rally is in January and that's right around the corner. I can't believe it... 2009 Lord knows I don't even want to think about Christmas right now because it's going to be a tough one this year. All I could of wished for was Dwayne getting a job, and now that it has happened, there isn't anything more we need.

Have a blessed day! :o)

Hi! We have a new TGIF!winner. Congratulations to Brenda T. from OH! Go take a peek at what she's won. Thank you all so much for playing my favorite game. :o)

Have a great weekend!

Hello! Happy Wednesday. :o) I'm so excited! I finally made my first Pandora beads yesterday. Well, not really my very first. I did try a couple of months ago and gave up because I had such a hard time working with the larger mandrel. It's a HUGE difference going from a 1/16. The biggest is that the glass doesn't 'flow' like it does on a smaller mandrel, and I'm so not used to that. I really need to stop giving up on things that don't turn out perfectly on my first or second try. All I can say is... the stars must of been in perfect alignment yesterday because it seemed too easy....LOL New techniques just happen when you're ready, and it's a bead-utiful thing when it does! Not that they're anything fancy. I'm sure that will come with more practice. So where are they? They're the new Free Bead giveaway. I know. I always giveaway the good stuff. :o) I ordered the sterling silver tubing today, so as soon as I get it, I'll be coring the ones I offer for sale. Yahoo! Can't wait!

Today is my 25th wedding anniversary. I truly can't believe it. 25 years? A Silver Anniversary? Holy Cow! It really does seem like yesterday. I say that about everything though, don't I? Where does time go? Because it sure doesn't slow down, it only speeds up. Well, it does for me anyway. I joke with Dwayne that one day... I'm going to wake up and be 80 years old, sitting on my front porch in a rocking chair, wondering what the heck happened, and how did I get here???...LOL

No new beads as of yet... Orders keep rolling in. But I do plan to before the week is through.

Enjoy the rest of your week!
