Woo Hoo! TGIF everyone! We just got back from the school's awards assembly where Madison received two awards. One for perfect attendance and an honor award in writing. Yahoo! We're so proud of her. :))) So I'm at the assembly standing next to Madison's teacher and Dwayne and I are looking around for the boy who Jordan gave the black eye to on Wednesday, when her teacher over heard us talking, and said "Are you talking about the boy who got socked in the eye? I looked at her listening, afraid to say anything. When she said... "The boy got what was coming to him because several of the teachers asked him to knock-it-off before he started taunting Jordan with the pom-poms." It was then I admitted- it was my Jordan who done Then Jordan's 3rd grade teacher comes over and says... "I want you to know, Jordan is the sweetest boy. I'm happy he finally put that boy in his place and it's unfortunate he got suspended over it, but that's the district's policy." Wow! How cool is that that the teachers came to his defence? Now that I know the whole story, Jordan will be off grounding this afternoon. I'm not saying it was the right thing to-do, it wasn't. But I have to admit, I do feel better about knowing how it all went down.
Today, I'm cleaning and packing beads. I have finished all the orders I promised this week, and boy, does it feels great. Yippee!
Weekend plans... Tonight, we're having a little get-together with friends. We're playing cards and barbecuing Carne Asada. Yummy! This weekend, we're supposed to help our other friends paint. Just hope they're ready for us.
Have a fantastic weekend! I plan on it. :)

Good morning. :) Citrus Splash are the new sliders today. It's a set in transparents: green, yellow and orange, and boy, do they sparkle. Thanks for peeking!
Been plugging away at orders this morning, making 1/16th hole beads. And I have to tell you something funny...  after working with the big hole beads for the past 2 weeks, they feel like
Back to work for me. Have a great day!

Hello! Right when I posted 'Margaritaville', I get a call from the asst. principal saying, Jordan is being suspended for a day for fighting and you need to come and pick him up from school. I was in shock. What! My sweet, kind and caring Jordan? I couldn't believe it! But apparently, another boy pushed him to his breaking point by taunting him with all things: a pair of Pom-Poms. Jordan asked him multiple times to stop shaking them in his face, and when he didn't, he socked him right in the eye and gave him a nice, fat shiner. The weird thing is... the other boy is one of his closest friends. He did apologize for hitting him. But I don't know what to think of it because after Jordan got home, the boy called and they were joking about it on the phone. Is that crazy? So I sit here wondering; should he be grounded for fighting or is it a matter of sticking up for one self, which he did, but it still isn't right. Dwayne's not home. He's on his way back from a Las Vegas run... in which he transports the U.S. Mail. (I've always wondered if he carries my shipped beads in his truck. That would be neat.) His cell phone isn't getting service, so I can't talk to him about it until he gets home tonight. So for now, Jordan sits in his room working on his president speech till I can figure this out. Oh, man, what a day!
I only worked on orders this morning, and will be again tonight. I'm hoping to have a chance to make at least one new slider set for tomorrow. If I do... Same time 11:30. :)

(May 26th, 2009)
Happy Tuesday! Hope you had a lovely holiday weekend. Our friends cancelled their painting party because they still had priming to-do, and decided to reschedule it for this coming weekend. So instead of helping them, we spent ours going on bike rides, playing at the park, swimming, barbecuing and just enjoying the long weekend together. It was so nice.
I hit the ground running this morning, got right out and worked on orders. The slider sets are so very popular- that I'm getting orders left and right. I'm so thrilled to see you love them as much as I do. :)
One new slider set coming up tomorrow at 11:30. I'll give you a hint.... Margaritas anyone?
Have a terrific Tuesday!

(May 22nd, 2009)
TGIF! everyone! I have 2 new sliders sets today. All American Girl and Stars & Stripes. There are super-cute! I just love saying that, it makes me feel young again. :)
I'd like to wish all of you a wonderful holiday weekend. What are we doing? We're going to help our friends hopefully paint all the rooms in their house. My friend, Mary, asked us like this... Would you guys mind come over this weekend? We're having a painting party, and we're going to barbecue something really good! As if ending painting with party and throwing in food makes it sound more appealing...LOL She's just too cute!

Be safe, and have Happy Memorial Day! I'll see you Tuesday.

Good morning! There are four new slider sets today. Rosie, Tootie Fruity, So Sassy! and Beach Baby- which I am totally in love with. I've never done a seaside bead as a round before. I've always done them as a lentil, so I wasn't sure how to, but I gave it a shot anyway. I'm so proud of myself. It turn out so neat! Can you tell how much fun I'm having making sliders? I love it when you get inspired by something new, don't you? I'm totally on a roll and have so many ideas. Who knows when I'll stop. :)
I have a new gallery for the Slider Sets just in case you'd like to see what you've missed. I had someone say, I'm taking them down so fast that she didn't have a chance to see what I've made. You can also find the gallery link on my menu under Shop Online.
I'm so excited!! So You Think You Can Dance begins tonight. I absolutely love watching it, and the auditions are my favorite part. Like the auditions on American Idol where they believe they can sing. Some of these people really think they can dance. Not that I'm any great dancer, mind you, but I sure wouldn't go on TV and show the whole world how bad I am. But watching the bad ones do their moves during the auditions cracks me up so bad, I cry. And I sure can use a good laughing cry every now and again. It's such a great feeling, isn't it? Ha!
I'm up to my eyeballs in laundry. Man, I hate laundry! But that's what I'll be doing today, in between making beads. :UGH:
Have a terrific Thursday!

(May 20th, 2009)
Hello. Happy Wednesday! There are three new slider sets today. Fun and Funky, Cherry Chick and Kona. Look forward to more coming tomorrow. There's one I'm especially fond of. And I can't wait to show you.
See tomorrow at 11:30. :)

(May 19th, 2009)
Good morning! I have two new slider sets: Puppy paws in pink and brown and Cheetah Girl in an animal print. Thank you so much for seeing what I have to offer today. :)
I spoke with my brother, Kenny, this morning. He called me from port and is so happy to finally have his feet touch land. He was out at sea for 93 days on missions and without going into any ports. Can you imagine? Not me. I think I'd go stir crazy being on a ship all that time....LOL His ship's return date is sometime in August, and then, it'll be in dry-dock till 2011. So that means, he'll be able to come up and see us, or us go down there while he's stationed in San Diego. Yahoo! Can't wait.
Two more slider sets coming tomorrow. Oh, if you'd like me to hold your order to combine shipping till the end of the week, I am more than happy to do so. Just send me a note.
See ya tomorrow!

(May 18th, 2009)
Good morning. Happy Monday everyone! :) Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Mine was very relaxing, and I really enjoyed spending time with my mom. We rented two movies: Passengers and Hotel for Dogs. Passengers was good and kept you guessing till the very end. I like that in a movie. HFD was really cute. We had wanted to see it in the theater, but never did get around to it. The kids really liked it. The dogs were adorable, especially Romeo: a hairless Chinese crested that looked so funny you can't help but fall in love.
I have three new sliders sets for you today. Plus, some other beads I had put off to the side. I am really enjoying making the sliders, and plan to have at least a set or two everyday this week. You know what's so neat about them? Once you start collecting them, you can mix & match them anyway you want. How fun! I'm off to send out the mailing list for these, but will not do one every time I post a new set this week. So if you'd like a set, please check back every day to see what colors I have. I'm thinking around 11:30 pst works best for me.
Have a marvelous Monday!

(May 15th, 2009)
TGIF!! What a busy week. I am so happy it's Friday, aren't you? Yahoo! Madison and I are going down to the valley this afternoon to pick up my mom, so she can spend the weekend with us. I speak to her on the phone all the time, but it's been awhile since we've seen her. We're going to spend the weekend swimming and relaxing around the pool, and maybe, rent a movie or two.
No new beads today. I will have next week.
Have a wonderful weekend, and I'll see ya Monday. :)

(May 14th, 2009)
Guess what Madison said when she saw the squash... "OMG!!! Are you serious!" Told you she'd be excited...LOL

I have Faux Turquoise set for sale today. I sold a set of these a few months back in a barrel shape, and really loved the way they turned out. This time I made them in the Gem, which is a very comfortable and unique shape. No email is going out because I hate to be a bug. See full description below.

Well, I'm off to go swimming with the kids. It's another HOT one. Plus, we just got back from walking Madison home from school, and the hills we live on are a real killer. Time to cool off. Whew!
Have a terrific Thursday!

Hi! I wanted to show you how fantastic the garden Madison and I planted about a month ago is doing. A couple of days ago, I noticed blooms on the squash plant. And when I went out there this morning, sure enough, it's beginning to grow a squash. It's as big as my thumb, and so cute. Madison has been waiting and waiting for something to start growing, so I know she's going to be so excited when she gets home from school today.
To the left is our whole garden. Let me see.... We have: rhubarb, beef steak tomatoes, green bell pepper, cherry tomatoes, zucchini, cucumber, squash, cantaloupe, jalapeno peppers and along the back sweet white corn. Yummy! We saved a place at the end for us to plant herbs, which we hope to soon. We still need to buy cages for the tomato plants because they get really heavy once the tomatoes start to grow, and need a little help to stand up straight. Gardens are so much fun, aren't they? :)))

Jordan is already home from school. It's a half-day for him because, it's open house tonight. It's always so much fun to see their classroom and what they've been working. I'm sure we'll have loads of artwork and stories they wrote to bring home. I wish I scrapped. I would love to make scrapbooks of their school years. I should really look into it because, I think it'd be fun.
(May 13th, 2009)
Happy Wednesday! How's everyone doing? I've been really busy getting myself re-organized. You know how you go through the motions of your daily life, without even giving it a thought? Well, for the past couple months I've been feeling like I can't seem to do as much as I used to. Then it dawned on me last week what's changed. I started to think... Okay, I'm always so busy, but it seems like I'm not accomplishing very much. What's wrong with me? And then I realized this: This is how my beady day goes.... I go outside to my studio every morning and get my beads out of the kiln and bring them inside in the kitchen to clean. Once I'm done, I go back outside to my studio to sort, string and take their picture. Then I go back in the house to use the computer to edit and post them for sale. And do my emails and web updates. Once the beads have sold, I print the packing slip then go back outside to my studio to pack and weigh the packages. Then I go back in the house to print a shipping label, and then, back out to my studio to stick it on the package. Whew! No wonder I feel like a chicken with it's head cut off all the time! So, for the past 2 days I've re-organized my office: in the house. And have brought in all my beads, findings and shipping supplies so I can do it all in one place, just like I used to a year ago. And no wonder I've been so scarce around here because, I've been wasting time running in and out and back & forth like a nut. Talk about a Ah-Ha! The only thing left in my studio is my lampworking supplies everything else is in here. I am so organized. Yahoo! Now lets see how well I do. I'm hoping for a BIG change, so keep your fingers crossed for me. :)
I have a new set to share with you today: adorable disc blooms in colors of the rainbow. These would be so cute if you used them all in one piece or if you incorporated them in with some other brights that you have. All are cased with a matching opaque core. See below for full description. And as always... Thanks for peeking!
Madison and I have Girl Scouts tonight. Oh, we got our Mother's Day ceramic piece back. I'll posted a picture in my gallery so you can see how pretty it turned out. Madison's thumbprint is the flower in the center. Gosh... what a fun day that was! :)
Only 17 days of school left. Boy, the year has flown by, hasn't it? We've been swimming in our pool just about everyday for the past two weeks, and it already feels like summer. Woo Hoo! It's wonderful! :)
I'm off to-do the free beads giveaway. Good luck to all of you.
Have a great day!

(May 7th, 2009)
Hi! It's me again...LOL I'm back with the bracelet and slider set that I told you about yesterday. Now I know it may be a little early for red, white and blue, but I've been feeling very patriotic lately. I'm so proud with the way the bracelet turned out. I wanted the dangles to look like an explosion of fireworks and I think they turned out so cute. I'm having fun making bracelets and am no longer pulling my hair out. Yay! Hope you enjoy seeing what I come up with. Thanks for peeking. :o)
Enjoy the rest of your week!

(May 6th, 2009)
Hello :) Happy Wednesday everyone! Boy, is it HOT! It's only 89, but it sure feels hotter than that. Poor Madison just got home from school and her face is bright red. She's wishing she could jump in the pool right now, but we have Girl Scouts at 4:00pm. As soon as we get home, we're going to go in, and then, we'll barbeque something for dinner. That sounds like a plan.
The kiddies had dental appointments Monday. And guess what? They had no cavities. I was so happy, but shocked at the same time. Jordan is the worst because I have to constantly remind him to brush his teeth. I thought for sure if they did, it'd definitely be him. But thank goodness he didn't. Yay!
I've been super busy working on orders this week. And will be for the rest of the week. I do have a bracelet and another set of sliders to ready to post, but I'm running out of time to get them up. If I can get them up later today, I will. But if not, I'll do it tomorrow.
Have a wonderful day!
