Good morning, and happy Friday... Yay! Would you believe my website got hacked yesterday? I couldn't figure out why the emails I was replying to under kris@krissybeads.com were being returned stating "You've reached your limit of 50 emails per hour." Well, come to find out... someone gained access to my control panel and had set up a new email address using krist@krissybeads.com, and was sending out mass emails from my .com.  Yes. Very scary! I deleted the fictitious email address yesterday and have no idea what that person sent out. One can only imagine. Yikes! So if you see or hear of any of these suspicious emails, they did not come from me.

Weekend plans.... It will be a relaxing one. No big plans. Jordan does have as a basketball game tomorrow at noon and we're really hoping they win. They haven't won a game yet and there's only 2 more games left in the season. So, keep your fingers & toes crossed for them.... Go Clippers!

Have a wonderful weekend! :)

PLEASE NOTE: I'm having trouble responding to emails today and have a support ticket in with Pappashop. As soon as the problem is fixed, I'll respond to your requests. Thank you!

Hello everyone. I am so ready to work on Halloween beads. Are you ready too? If so, boy, do I have a treat for you! For everyone who orders a set, $40.00 or more, you'll receive a free pair of pumpkins. And for those of you who order a slider set, you'll receive a free ball chain necklace. All you have to do is order and then say "Trick or Treat". Now I will only take enough orders to keep me busy for a couple days. Once I've reached my limit, I will be taking them down. So, don't delay. Thank you so much for ordering! :)

Holly and I had such a great day yesterday. We played at the torch for a few hours then hit the pool. It's a lot of fun when she comes over, especially, when she brings her rottweiler, Mabel. She is such a sweetie and the kids just love it when she comes too. While we were swimming, she was running around and around the pool watching, just like a mommy, making sure Jordan and Madison were okay. It was just too funny.

I'm off to pack the order I completed yesterday. Have a Spooktacular day! :)

Hello! :) It was a busy weekend as always around here. The birthday party was a lot fun and Jordan had 4 of his friends camp over. They "slept" on the trampoline in the backyard and stayed up most of the night. What a blast they had!

Holly is here and we had fun playing on the torch this morning. She taught me a few new things that I can't wait explore a little more. We're ready to go swimming and enjoy our cooler weather for a change.

Orders have been taking up a lot of my time this week, but I will have beads for you tomorrow.

Have wonderful Wednesday!

Hello :) Happy Thursday! I have two new sets to share with you today. First, an elegant Pandora trio with a black base that's been drizzled with sterling silver. I also have an adorable set of daisies in black, white and yellow. It is so cute! Thanks for peeking!

My boys had a great birthday. Dwayne wasn't home on Jordan's birthday because he was on the road. So yesterday, on his birthday, he took Jordan to Racer's Edge to race indoor karts. Madison raced, too, while I watched and took pictures and a short video. I posted them in my flicker album so you could see how much fun they had. You have to go into my flicker album to see the video though. Just click on any photo (under my menu), go into my Krissy Beads album, then click on the video Wanna Race? and it should let you view it. They raced 14 laps which took about 15 minutes. They got out of their karts grinning from ear to ear. It was just too cute!

I picked my mom up this morning so she can spend a couple days with us. Saturday, we're having a swim party here at the house to celebrate their birthdays with a handful of friends. Nothing fancy. Just hot dogs on the grill and a birthday cake from Baskin-Robbins. Yummy!

Enjoy the rest of your week, and I'll see you Monday!

Hello :) Did everyone have a great weekend? We sure did! Saturday night we went to a concert in the park. Led Zepagain was playing- a Led Zeppelin tribute band, and they were fantastic! The park was full of people sitting in chairs and on blankets with their coolers full with food and drinks. Kids playing, people dancing and singing to the music. I asked Dwayne how many people he though were there and he said, about 2500. Yes. It was packed! I wish I brought my camera so I could of taken a picture, but I completely forgot. I'll do that next time. The concerts run all summer long through the middle of August with a different genre of music every Saturday night. What fun!

Two of my boys are having birthdays this week. Jordan is turning 11 tomorrow and Dwayne is 44 Wednesday. Tomorrow, I'm taking Jordan, Madison and a couple of his friends to the skate park, and then to the water park right next door. I'm sure after an hour or so of playing in the concrete jungle, they'll be ready to head to the water park. Oh I do hope so, otherwise, I may melt. It's been so darn hot. I asked Jordan what he'd like to do for dinner and he chose to eat out at the Asia Garden. I had a feeling he'd choose that place because it's his favorite. And Madison and I love it, too. It's been a long time since we've eaten out so it'll be a real treat for all of us. :)

Have a great week!

Happy Saturday!  I have some new items to share with you today. First I have 4 adorable kitty cat pendants. They're my first and they turned out so cute! :) I also have 2 purse pendants and a set in one of my favorite classic color combos: black, white and yellow. You may notice I've used a new background in my pictures. I think it gives the beads a more natural look rather than the white background I've used in the past. What do you think.... do you like the new look?

Yesterday, my girlfriend came over with 3 of her boys. We went swimming, barbecued hot dogs and spent time together chit-chatting in the spa. She doesn't get to come over very often because she's been so busy. I'm happy she finally made it though because we had such a great time.

Today, Dwayne is taking Jordan to his basketball game while Madison and I are at a birthday party for one of girl scouts friends, who's turning 6. Madison is so excited about going because it's at Build A Bear in the mall and she's never been.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Happy Thursday! It's just too hot to think about anything bead related. So instead of working today, I'm going to float around on my raft in the pool and spend time with family. :)

Hello :) OMG! It is so hot. Now how's a girl supposed to work in this kind of heat? I do have an air conditioner in my studio, but with my kiln running too, it's already 90 degrees inside my studio by the time noon rolls around. Whew! I was out there this morning working on some new things that are sure to be the cats meow. Oh, boy, I can't wait to show you because they're so darn cute! :)

Yesterday, I get this bright idea to go on a bike ride. So here I am in the pool floating around on my raft enjoying time with my family... When I say to Dwayne, Hey! let's go riding. And being the sweetie that he is, he goes along with what I want to do. Now it's 1:00 and already a 100 degrees, but I thought it'd wouldn't be so bad with the wind blowing. Now here we are a mile into our ride and about halfway to the mall, when I start feeling dizzy (probably from heatstroke) and then I feel like I'm going get sick right on top of the paseo for all the traffic down below to see. Well, I made it to the mall and back home without incident. But what the heck was I thinking??? I told Dwayne next time I have a bright idea, please put me in check because I never want to go through that again. As soon as we got home, we headed straight for the pool where we should of stayed in the first place...lol

New beads and pendants coming this week. I'm thinking Thursday, but I'll have to see how it goes.

Well, I'm headed for the pool. Have a great week, and keep cool wherever you are. :)

Happy Friday! It's going to be a busy day. Madison has a birthday party to go to this morning at Chuck E. Cheese. It's a pizza parlor that has lots of fun kid games. The party is for one of her friends from kindergarten. And she's so excited to see and play with some of her classmates. Jordan has another basketball game this afternoon. Wednesday's game was absolutely terrible. They got their butts kicked so bad (61 - 9: Jordan scored 7 of them) that I thought for sure the refs would call mercy. No. It wasn't pretty. Poor guys! I think it's a matter of lack of practices because they're just not coming together as a team. They just had a week off last week, and before that, they were only practicing once a week. And to me, that's just not enough. Oh, well... we'll see how today's game goes.

I spent the week working on orders so nothing new till next week.

Have a wonderful weekend! :)

Did you see the moon last night? Wasn't it incredible? We went on a bike ride (we've been doing that a lot lately) at sunset and saw it rising over the mountains. It was so big and bright that I felt as though I could reach out and touch it. Wow... Was it pretty!

Our garden is doing great. Although, we did have some problems with white-flies. Those things sure are pesky and a pain to get rid of, aren't they? We have loads of zucchini, which I wasn't sure what to do with. But then I thought... why not make zucchini bread. Madison was sceptical at first because she doesn't like zucchini, but she sure changed her mind after tasting it when she said, 'Oh. man, this is fantastic. This is the best bread I ever had!' Ha! That's one way to get your kids to eat their vegetables...lol

Well, we're off to Jordan's basketball game. Go Clippers!

(July 7th, 2009)

What an emotional morning! I've been glued to the television watching the Michael Jackson Memorial Service. Dwayne and I entered the lottery for a chance to attend the service, but unfortunately, we were not one of the lucky ones chosen. I'm sitting here after watching and am deeply moved, especially at the end when his daughter spoke. Oh, man, it broke my heart. So very sad. No. We never can say goodbye.

We had a lovely holiday weekend. And I hope you did, too. We rode our bikes to the mall to watch the fireworks show. We usually drive and park somewhere but then get stuck in traffic trying to get home. But this time, we whizzed right by it on our bikes. We'll definitely do that again next year because it was so much fun. We spent the rest of the weekend relaxing, swimming and just enjoying spending time together.

Jordan has a basketball game tomorrow. His third one. They haven't won a game yet, but hopefully, they will tomorrow.

Have a great day!

Woo Hoo! It's Friday again and a holiday weekend, too. Yay! I just finished brushing and cleaning the pool, and boy, was that a work out!! Sometimes I wish we had a pool man, but we're trying to save everywhere we can. I think everyone is nowadays, don't you? Having a pool man isn't a necessity when we can do it ourselves, but it's just a pain. But a pain well worth the reward because we practically live in it all summer long. And we do love it. :)

Weekend plans.... today the kids and I are baking a flag cake. You know. The one with blueberries and strawberries. Aren't those the cutest? Hey! Just like the beads I have this week. What a coincidence!... hehe :) For the 4th, we're having a barbeque here at the house (hence me cleaning the pool so it's all nice and sparkly) We're cooking pork ribs, baked beans and I'm making potato salad. I do not like the store bought stuff... it's awful, I think. So I always make my own. Then we're going to the mall to see the fireworks, like we do every year, and it's always a great show! Dwayne loves it when you can feel the booms in your chest because it reminds him of his childhood. When he was a little boy, his family would watch the fireworks by the lake in New Hampshire. Although he says, they're not as loud as they used to be. They are close and he really gets a tickle out of it. And so do I seeing his eyes light up...lol Now I won't see you till Tuesday. I'm taking Monday off.

Just a note: Tuesday, I will have new sliders sets... same time 11:30pst.

Have a very safe and happy 4th of July!

(July 2, 2009)

Hello. Happy Thursday! Boy, do I have a ton of beads to share with you. There are 2 new beachy sets in a pale blue. It's the first time I've worked with this color, even though, I've had it for over a year. I know. I just never got around to trying it. I have to tell you something though, it is an absolutely beautiful blue. Yum-O! Plus, I'll be taking orders on the other beads I have available today.... a starfish, sand dollar, cherry, strawberry, blueberry, ladybug, bee, berry blossoms and a cherry jubilee set. Whew! That's a lot of beads. I've had several requests for them so I thought: Why not make them for everyone?! :)Thanks for peeking!

I have to go run some errands so I'll see you later. Have a terrific Thursday!
