Hi! I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving. Ours was absolutely wonderful! My mother-in-law said, "Kris you really out did yourself this year. The turkey was the best I've ever had." Ah, how sweet is that?! :) Today we went to the movies and saw Planet 51. It was cute. But what we really went to see was A Christmas Carol, but the 3D projector broke right in the middle of the previews. Rats! So instead, they let us see a different movie, gave us a refund on our concessions. Plus, four free tickets. That's not a bad deal considering tickets are $12.50 each, and concessions are $18.00 for 2 drinks and a large popcorn. Now how much does a fountain drink and popcorn really cost them? It's highway robbery, I tell ya'!
So, the new beads are up. Two holiday sets, and a set of yummy chocolates. And in honor of Black Friday, I'm offering FREE shipping on everything. Thanks for peeking, and have a bead-utilful weekend!

Happy Tuesday everyone! Now who's ready for a turkey-riffic Thanksgiving? We are! While I was working this morning, Dwayne got the house in ship-shape by cleaning the kitchen and dusting the family room. What a great guy! :) The turkey is defrosting, so tomorrow all I have to do is food prep. I'm never in the mood to cut onions and celery at the crack of dawn on Thanksgiving, so I always do those the day before. The chocolate chip cookies are baked (yum! had some last night :) and we're making fudge today. Yep! It's that time again. Time to gain 5 pounds in a single day, but who's counting anyway?!...LOL
What I'm thankful for....
My husband, Dwayne, who loves and supports me no matter how crazy he thinks I am.
My 3 beautiful children Eric, Jordan and Madison, who are healthy and happy.
My work, which has allowed me the incredible opportunity to work from home.
You! My customers. Because without you, none of this would be possible.
And for that I THANK YOU! from the bottom of my heart.
Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey! I just got word that Madison was the Top Seller for magazines in her Girl Scout troop. Yippee! I want to say... Thank You! to all who ordered. You really are the greatest. And Madison thanks you, too! :)
Well, I barely slept a wink last night. I kept tossing and turning thinking about those darn mice. No wonder, huh? The pest repellents are now in place, and so far so good, there isn't a mouse in sight. Yay! We have one in the kitchen (next to the stove :), one in the living room and the other in the family room. I am afraid, though we'll need to get another set so we can put one in each of our bedrooms, because we definitely don't want them trying to snuggling up with us at night...lol
I'm working on beads this week and plan to have just a couple new things to share with you on Friday.
Have a wonderful day!

OMG! I'm about to have a heart attack. We have mice. Yes. Mice! Dwayne's not home, he's on the road working. And Jordan and Madison are both at a friends house having dinner. So, I'm home alone cooking dinner for myself when I walk away for a little while to let the meat rest, and when I return, the mice are eating my steak. Yep. I kid you not! I didn't know mice eat meat, did you? Now we've been setting out these super-sticky traps in the garage for the past two weeks, and have caught a couple. But now they've crossed the line by invading my kitchen!!! Jordan did see one earlier today in his bedroom sitting right in the middle of his floor, looking up at him. But when he yelled for me, it ran away. Dwayne will be home in the morning with 3 ultrasonic plug-ins he picked up today. We heard they work really well, so keep your fingers crossed. But what I am supposed to do till then? Because that's all I can think about and will be dreaming about is.... Mice!
Anyway, how do you like the new look of my website? It's what I was working on while the mice were eating my dinner...lol

Good morning. Happy Friday! I have 10 bead specials and a holiday slider set to share with you today. Plus, some news. It's no secret that bead sales are very slow right now. And because of that, I've decided to return to my career as a medical collection specialist. I have a job offer and am meeting with my new boss on December the 1st to discuss my schedule. I'm not saying goodbye, just that my life has taken a turn in order to provide for my family. I'll be around checking in from time to time, and hopefully, have something for sale here and there. As always... thank you so much for seeing what I have to offer today! :)
Weekend plans... We're going to bake chocolate chip cookies and apple pies for Thanksgiving. My in-laws, my brother and a friend are coming here for the holiday. Gosh, I can't believe how fast time flies! Although, I may no longer be saying that once I return to work, because I'll be praying for Friday. Ha-ha!
Take care and have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Monday! Did you have a great weekend? We sure did! :) Build a Bear Saturday was so much fun. The girls really enjoyed making bears for the charity event. I'm not sure how many went to Child and Family services, but the collection boxes were filling up when we were there. That's just wonderful!!! Sunday, my cousins were here. We barbecued chicken and had fajitas. There's this great Mexican market here in town that sells the meat already seasoned, and OMG!! it's the BOMB! Yum-O
I've had several request for more holiday sliders, so I plan to do those first this week. Then, I'd like to make a couple more holiday sets for Ebay. That sounds like a plan, doesn't it?
Have a great day, and I'll see ya later! :)
(November 13th, 2009) Oh, no, not Friday the 13th!
Happy Friday everyone! Did you have a great week? I spent most of mine resting and am beginning to feel like my old self again. Yay! I finally felt well enough to go out to my studio and make beads yesterday for the first time in two weeks. Yes. Two weeks! Gosh, being sick is such a bummer, isn't it? I listed the set I made, the cased twists, on Ebay today. Plus, four other sets looking for a home. Thank you so much for checking them out! :)
Weekend plans... Tomorrow I'm going to Build A Bear
with my Girl Scout troop to donate bears to Child and Family Services for the holiday. We're teaching the girls about 'kindness and caring' this month with not only donating bears, but also with food collection for our local food pantry. There are so many families in need, especially this time of year. And this is a wonderful way for the girls feel like they're making a difference. Nothings planned for Sunday yet, but I'm sure we'll think of something.
Have a fantastic weekend!

Hello! I'm on the road to recovery, but am very tired and weak. Just wanted to pop in to let you know I'm still alive but still need a couple more days to feel up to doing anything. Thank you so much for the well wishes. You are all so sweet! :)))
Enjoy the rest of your week!

Madison was sick this weekend. She came home early from the Halloween party with a fever. She rested till 8:00 then I asked her if she wanted to go Trick or Treating. She did, but only for 1 block and back. Poor thing! I took her to the doctor Sunday and he said it's just a bug. And to give her Motrin for the fever and it should go away in a few days. She was much better yesterday and has been at school. But now I feel like I've got whatever she had. Just hope I can bounce back as quickly as she did.
Tonight I have my monthly GS leadership meeting. Nothing much else going on around here. I've just been resting.
Have a great week!
